How did you get into hairdressing? What inspired you?
While on work experience at school I was placed with a local salon for two weeks. During this time, I enjoyed
the experience so much I just new that I wanted to be a hairdresser.
What's your worst haircut?!
When I was about 15 years old I had long layered hair that did nothing for my face shape with unflattering
red highlights.
Why do you like hairdressing?
Everyday is different, a never ending journey! There's always something new to learn which I can then pass
onto other members of the team. My manager, Adrian Allen, has always been an inspiration to me which
drives me further into the hairdressing industry. It even inspired me to take part in London Fashion Week
where Adrian styled hair backstage for hot designer Adam Entwisle's collection.
Which era represents hair the best in your opinion?
I love the 70's punk era - everyone was so daring and experimental and there was no concern about what
people thought of their personal style.
Which celebrity would you like to get your hands on to restyle and why?
It would have to be Emma Watson. Before she had her long locks cut off she had beautiful, stylish hair but
her short, pixie crop is completely wrong for her face shape. I would love to give her a complete restyle.
Where do you see yourself in 10years time?
I see myself working across the globe, teaching and showcasing my work and helping other hairdressers with
the skills and knowledge that I have obtained throughout my career.
What's your favourite OSiS product and why?
I love OSiS Mess Up (£11.70)! No matter how much I add it never makes my client's hair feel or look greasy.
The product is weightless and particularly great for blondes as it does not leave hair dry and screaming out
for moisture. First, I work the product into the palm of my hands and then work it into the client's hair for
definition and ultimate style.
